Good golf today in Phoenix after weather issues the previous few days. On to LA and Riviera.

I 100% believe that had the group in front of him not been playing so slow and he didn't have to wait 12 minutes between shots that he hits a better drive.

Yah, probably not great for one of the oldest guys to be standing around waiting after an already condensed tournament to try and close it out.

Hell, it looked like he had a full back brace on heading to tee off for the playoff.

I could hit the exact same tee-shot that Taylor hit on 18 and mine would have plugged in that bunker. Some people are just lucky. Taylor got lucky twice.

That was a heck of a finish. Strange weekend with the weather but very fun tourney to watch

Talked to my buddy again today. He failed to mention that he tipped $100 upon entrance both days. Explains the unlimited beverages.

I was in the suites at 16 on Friday too. Same experience. Made friends with the bartender and mysteriously her scanner stopped working.

We got out of there just before the wheels came off our group.

It was a really good time. Definitely the majority couldn't care less about golf and are there for the party.

I think it's great to have a wild event like this for golf and Phoenix. Tons of people have it as a bucket lost trip.

I wasn't paying a lot of attention at the beginning but didn't Taylor top his drive on one and take an unplayable on two?

I have never been to the WM but I have been living here for almost a year so I plan to be part of an entourage of other old men next year taking it in. My main take away from a year of living here is the number of people you run into who seem to be in a crazy hurry and stressed is noticeably fewer than other places. Not just retired types but go into a bank, business, etc and I get that sense.

Mr. Bond should try it.

It's been years since I've been, but the WM used to have concerts at an onsite venue called "The Bird's Nest" after the rounds. I saw The Chainsmokers and Snoop after the Thursday round in either 2018 or 2019...you think the crowds this week were bad, you should see the shape most of the people were in leaving those concerts AFTER a full day on 16...

We still do have the birds nest concerts. I never go because I am on the Ops team and I leave for the course every morning before 5 am and I am off the course around 6 every day Monday - Sunday of the tournament. For the patrons that enjoy both, I can't imagine going that hard for that long and doing it again the next day.
