This Saturday my daughter has a UIL band (regional) performance in Belton. I was looking to possibly play in the morning traveling from College Station. I'm looking to see if any fellow Aggies might invite me out (prefer to play with others) to somewhere nearby with the exception of Sammons or Cottonwood Creek (have played them or coached on them before)?

Was looking at Wildflower, Ridgewood, Bear Ridge as hopefuls!

TIA

Stonetree in Harker Heights is worth playing. Haven't been in years but it was always in just as good or better shape than wildflower. Used to overseed all their fairways too so nice this time of year.

I like the course just fine but being next to Ft. Hood you get some real characters out there with regards to golf etiquette. I haven't played there in a while but Mill Creek in Salado used to be fun

Is Leon Valley still open in Belton? Grew up there, but didn't golf as a youngster.

No it closed years ago.

Welcome to our school and congratulations to your daughter

I'd just go play Stonetree or Sammons for a quick round. Nothing fancy but fun.
