It's one of the most fun tournaments every year. I do think the action on the first 12 holes or so can be tough to watch on TV at times but that final stretch home is great and of course it has the uniqueness of the fans at 16, which has now sort of moved to 17 and 18 in a more limited way.

If the PGAT had any awareness they'd try to create some sort of energy-enhanced tournament down the stretch just before the playoffs. Sort of bookend the regular season with it.

Also the talent. Good lord, the talent.

100% this. Best finishing stretch on tour imo for many reasons. The vibe of the area makes this tournament special and basically impossible to replicate

Having lived here full time for 2 years now the reputation Arizona women have is well earned. It's not just the young ones either. They're everywhere. The people here are the most relaxed and happiest I've ever met anywhere.

Second the notion the finishing stretch is great golf watching. A lot of tournaments seem to limp home.

Scottie is a truly elite. His Thursday and Saturday rounds looked like he was playing poorly and he still scored 69/68. When that putter gets hot he's unstoppable.

Speith shot 68, 33-35… I'd hardly call that wilting. Scottie's 41… now THAT'S wilting.

Holy crap. I played 9 holes today and shot the same score as Scottie. Doubt I'll ever get to say that again.

Detry has been playing good golf over the last year or so. He was so close to winning a few times last season. Glad to see him finally break through and get a win.
