I'll say this about jt. His plan today was great. I wonder who had him play that way and how much his caddie influenced him. He normally plays wild off the tee and wild on par 5s. I've thought he should dial it back and rely on his iron play into the greens. He did that today and was in control of his game the whole round. I wondered if he would ever win again and seeing rory keep winning with all the distractions he has, there is no reason jt, Spieth, day, or Fowler cant find ways to get back into contention. They should be in their primes. It will be great if jt can get back to the player he was 6 or 7 years ago.

The US Ryder Cup team needs JT in good form to have some chance of beating a tough European team at Bethpage Black. The US team has a good Top 6 or so players in Scottie, Xander, Bryson, Morikawa and likely JT and Cantlay. Henley will probably be on the team. After that, Team USA has some question marks to round out the team.

Don't bet against guys that have an edge like JT
