Crowded?

Looking at the site I see a bunch of different locations. The FM Law Park one isnt popping up. Is it something you register for or just show up?

Just show up, was not crowded at all. We didn't have anyone in front of us or behind us until we were 5 holes in and I think it was the guys working there. They do close promptly at 5 PM and blast an air horn with a 10 minute warning...they could have locked us in if they wanted but waited til we were done at 5:10.

Technically your kid is supposed to be a member of First Tee or Youth on Course, but they basically said it's free for anyone and just sign in at the "pro shop" in their book.

They do have some small tourneys out there and a jr pga league on saturdays at 3 PM so your mileage may vary on how busy it is.

You actually drive past FM Law park on Mykawa going south from 610 and there is a "First Tee" sign at the entrance.

Did you/are you allowed to play with your kid? Or kids only? 18 holes or 9 at FM Law? Can't tell on their website or on the sat photo.

You are allowed to play as long as you have your kid with you, 9 holes, but you could easily play it 2x if you wanted but walking only so your kid or you may get tired.

It was so humid on Saturday...9 was more then enough after chipping practice and hitting the driving range.

my son (12) played in his first (and only) two tournaments there last spring. he had been playing less than a year. went out the first tourney and shot a -1 33. went out 2 months later and shot a +? 60. welcome to golf, son.

it's a great facility to have for kids to play.

My daughter has been involved in First Tee for about 4 years. FM Law is a fantastic facility that is under utilized in my opinion. Great 9 holes, you better be straight off the tee, putting green, short game putting area and a range. You can play with your kid, I see it all the time. If you all are not aware they campaign to re do the layout. Hole #7 you better be straight or you are in trouble and their are 3 par 3 holes in a row.

Played here today again, kicked my kids butt. Still amazed it's free and almost no one was there.

Went there for the first time nearly two weeks ago. I grew up barely a mile from there and all that time never stepped foot on the property.

I think its a great place for a kid to learn the game and practice. I talked with one of the guys that worked there, and he mentioned that its one of the few First Tee facilities of its kind in the US. Theyre trying to raise money to improve/enhance it.
