In 2022, I wanted to start taking golf more seriously, so I went and got fitted for clubs. Since then, I've been in fairly steady lessons, first with Golftech, and then with a coach. In the three years since I was fitted, my swing has changed considerably. Grip, takeaway, impact, pretty much all of it.
I'm wondering now if the changes in my swing merit an adjustment to my irons? My fitting and purchase came with lifetime adjustments as part of the price, so it's no additional cost to me. Still, I don't want to waste my time or the fitters if I don't need anything changed.
In terms of pre-lessons when I was fitted, my misses were right and slice-y, like most casuals. I've mostly gotten away from that, and if anything, my misses now are pulls and hooks. It has me wondering if my fitter set up the clubs to help mitigate my slice and bad swing, and now I've outgrown that "band-aid."
Do yall have any ideas on things I can do on the range or at home to check and see if it's an issue before I make an appointment? I'm not beyond buying some random piece of kit off Amazon if that's necessary, either.
