Anybody hitting the 301cb or the combo set? Opions pro and cons

Priced out a set of 201s and 3 wedges. Could probably add the "expensive" driver and be about the price of new sxi7s. If they are that close in feel then it sounds like I have my Christmas wish list

I have a set of the 301CB and the feel is really good. I bought just the heads only and installed my own shafts that fit my SS, but the KBS Tour shafts that they usually come with are pretty good, but just don't work as well with my swing. I have the Project X LS shafts in my iron heads. For the price they are a really good deal. If you are in the Bryan College Station area or west Houston, I don't mind if you would like to try them out. I have not changed the lie angle yet so they are standard loft and lie.

R.I.P. Twin Lakes. The course I miss the most that is no longer open in TX. What a great track it was.

Finally got to play a round with just the irons, no woods, driver, only extra was the putter and my vokey wedges. 301 cb 4-PW. Getting used to the larger sole and bounce compared to my Ping Blueprints. Didn't play from the tips, white tees and shot a 73. Missed a few putts, but after a few holes even some of the miss hits and toed shots found themselves close to the green for easy up and downs. I didn't expect this much forgiveness, but an off center hit from the Blueprints is pretty noticeable.

Surprised you didn't go combo set on the 301s. I ended up grabbing the 201s just before the mark II announcement and hope to get out this afternoon or next Saturday to finally put them through their paces. Though with how hitchy my swing feels at the moment I may be the one getting worked

Thought about it for sure, but I hit my irons pretty far so I don't really hit partial shots until my 50 degree Vokey wedge so I really wanted that extra forgiveness in full shots.

Wouldn't that mean you have larger gaps and consequently hit MORE partial shots?

Was able to get out and play 9 this afternoon.

As I said I ordered the original 201s as well as the 52, 56, 60 sf002 wedges.

My swing is all over the place but the two things I noticed were exceptional feedback and pretty good distance control considering how bad I was swinging.

Overall very forgiving and responsive clubs, glad I went the full cavity back vs the 301cbs, but looking forward to many more rounds with these
