Driving from Fort Worth to Fort Smith Friday for Arky game. Any course recommendations relatively on the way for an afternoon round? Had my club call Hardscrabble in Fort Smith but not really wanting to pay $250 for unaccompanied guest fee.

It is a little out of the way, but Mystic Creek in El Dorado is a gem

Arrowhead Golf Course, at Arrowhead State Park is nice (or at least it was earlier in the summer). It shouldn't be much out of the way. It's on Highway 69, if you're coming that way, or about half an hour south of I-40, if you're going that direction.
