Disclaimer: not a flex because I'm not paying for any of the trip, I'm just fortunate and excited to get to play out there.

Playing Del Monte day 1, PB and Spyglass day 2, and Spanish bay day 3. Never been out there before. Anything in particular I should know/see/do from those who've been out there? Appreciate it

Find some time to work in The Hay. - Par 3 course designed by Tiger next to Pebble's practice facility. In my humble opinion, better than The Cradle @ Pinehurst.

PB ans Spyglass the same day? I would only play Pebble and enjoy your round. Grab a few beers and watch as groups come in on 18.

Get a reservation at the Tap Room well ahead of time. I thought the main restaurant at PB was so/so.

Try to play The Hay. I heard the restaurant there is good too; I didn't have time to get there

I did PB and Spyglass same day. It's a lot. We had one of the earlier tee times at PB and it was a rush to get to Spyglass. I also learned PM tee times at Spyglass…be ready for a 5+ hour round. It took us 45 mins+ before we teed off on #3. Just the way it is. No regrets. Enjoy!

If you are able, walk Pebble. It adds to the experience but I don't believe I'd recommend that for Spyglass. That guy has some elevation you don't see on TV.

I second the Tap Room suggestion. Stick around for an appetizer and cocktail at the fire pit at the Inn at Spanish Bay after your round and watch the bagpiper at sunset. It's pretty special.

Tap room is currently closed I think.

I'd say skip Spanish bay and play pasatiempo

Where are you flying into? If San Fran, drive down the coast (1) vs the more direct, inland San Jose route that your phone app will try to do. Amazing drive between SF and Santa Cruz. If you aren't sure how to map it, put in SFO to Half Moon Bay initially.

Flying into Monterey/Carmel, so will have to try to catch that drive another time. Have heard great things. Thanks!

Spanish Bay was my least favorite by far. It was forgettable.

I can't imagine playing Pebble and Spyglass the same day

Spyglass was great. Has a couple of gimmicky holes.

"Pace of play" Nazis around every bend so get ready.

The Hay is not that great in my opinion…
I mean it's OK but I would never recommend it.

It literally takes like an hour to play it.

Go find something else to do!

Greens were so beat up (understandable since the greens are the size of your kitchen and 1000 people a day are hitting wedges into them)

Enjoy your trip

Pebble was everything anyone had ever tried to explain to me….. and more!!!

Love it! Thanks.

Tee off around 7am tomorrow at Spy and can't wait. Will report back

I question being able to do Pebble and Spyglass back to back unless you have a very early time at Pebble. PB can be a brutally long round so hopefully you're off early.

The Hay is fun and quick. Not worth rearranging plans around but you can work it in easily. If you can play it, do it.

Spanish Bay is about to get blown up so you'll get to say you got to play the old version once it's redone. Overall I think most agree it is the weakest of the three courses by a mile.

At PB club up when hitting over the cove on 8. One of the sickest shots in golf but it plays long.

Yessir we are first tee times of the day at PB. Have been told to expect fog which I'm excited for (probably until the third/fourth hole when I'm tired of seeing my ball disappear).

Appreciate the tips and will keep that in mind on #8…

Late October? Be sure to bring some layers, that onshore breeze can have some bite. Other than that, it's God's golf course, no better walk on planet earth IMHO

I would consider dropping Del Monte and adding Bayonet or Blackhorse in its place. I know you have limited control, but Del Monte is nothing great IMO…haven't played it in awhile. Played Bayonet a few months ago and it's a fun but difficult track. Price point is likely similar to Del Monte.

Thanks everyone for the tips so far! Sending some pics from Spyglass round this AM. Embarrassing showing on/around the greens from yours truly but hoping to dial it in for rest of trip. This place is special

Spyglass is no joke. Very tough track. Shot a million when I played it.

PB is much easier. If the wind isn't a problem, the only real defense is the small greens and surrounding bunkering.

Have a blast!

Spyglass is a great track, but still stunned at the routing. Near the water & dunes for the first 5 holes, then the rest of the round thru the forest. Couldn't help but notice that your photos are from holes 1-3.

Pebble is almost a 6 hour round be sure to budget enough time if trying to double. I'd split spyglass to another day and do PB on its own. Pasatiempo sounds like a great swap if possible for DM or SB.

Play PB and have dinner after at the Bench. Watch the sunset.

Play the Hay. It's not better than the Cradle though!

We played The Hay right before we played Pebble. Finished nine at The Hay and the starter looked around and said "Not very busy. Want to go around again?" You bet!

This. We did the exact same thing and I can't recommend it enough but it depends on what you want. These par three courses are much more of a relaxed party vibe. We had a group of 12 and they let us all go out together. There was maybe one other group two holes ahead of us that also had about ten people. Everyone had a single club in one hand and a beer/cigar in another. Obviously pebble is the best part of the trip but looking back our group of guys talk about that hay round just as much.
