Want to get fitted for a new driver. Any rec's on best places to go (and driver model)?

Obligatory Impact Precision recommendation. If you're in Conroe as your name suggests head down 45 to Spring.

What 98Ag99Grad said. Had my fitting there years ago. Might go again after improving my swing just to see if a different set of iron would mean anything now.

Impact Precision is not fancy but top notch. You're looking at $1200 for a driver if you order the club. I'd suggest to pay the fitting fee buy the driver online with a stock shaft and then have Impact build you the fitted shaft. More importantly I would wait for the new drivers to come out, it's almost that time of the year. This year the 2026 new Taylormade and Callaway should have big improvements over their current 2025 models.

couple of ways to look at that....
1) is technology getting THAT much better from year to year? Over several years I would say yes. but year to year not likely.
2) getting last years model might be found at a discount with newer models coming out.

I agree with your points but for instance I was fitted into the Callaway Elyte, it felt and preformed decent but I used my custom shaft in the 2024 AI Smoke driver and it performed better on the sim and the course. I found a decent deal on a used AI smoke and im currently playing tha club. I've heard similar things about the Taylormade QI35 vs the QI10. Seem like every two or more years the improvement is noticeable. The f we're paying to get fitted I would want to wait for the new releases to come out.

Impact is great! have gone for my driver fitting, iron fitting, and then a lie/loft/length check of irons 2 yrs after fitting as my swing has changed.

You can always check their pricing against discountdans.com. They can order custom stuff and pay for shipping.

This is where I'm at. My issue is the Indian, not the arrows. That said, my current arrow is a 2012 TM RBZ with a cracked heel, so anything is an upgrade.

I've bought 3 drivers from those guys and have never been quoted anywhere close to $1200.00, and that includes the Titleist GT2 I purchased in May.

How much was your out the door price for Titleist Driver this year and what shaft did you order? I was fitted into the Elyte Triple Diamond with the Fujikura Blue Velocore+…
The driver was around $650, Fuji Shaft $350, adapter was $35, I ordered a nice grip that was $20.00, plus the fitting fee and taxes.

I want to say around $900. GT2 with one of the Graphite Design Tour AD DI shafts. They cut me a deal on the shaft and applied the fitting to the purchase also.
