Need to upgrade from the black hefty trash bag I keep in my cart. Anyone have recommended brands they like?

In keeping with buying the most expensive stuff you can, I used Kjus for my last trip to Scotland and stayed dry. Buy once, cry once.

I've been in the golf business for over 30 years and have debated buying good rain gear several times. Each time my wife would say - "Why? You don't play in the rain!"

same. this was strictly for my trip. I played in weather over there I wouldn't get out of bed for here. I do like the 3/4 sleeve pullover I purchased. I can wear that in cool weather as well.

I'm the same way, I don't play in the rain.

Went to Scotland so I finally started looking into real rain gear but decided to just take my Columbia rain jacket. We wound up lucking out as it never raind when we were there!

been using sun mountain products for 20 years now....top notch.

use golfing....fishing....rain...wind. Even just for traveling. Its just a nice layer that breathes very well when you want just a something little extra when its chilly but don't want to get hot

Don't cheap out like I did. We had a round on our golf trip this year in an absolute down pour….I did not stay dry.

I stand by my Zero Restriction Gore-Tex Rain Gear. Not cheap but made well as I have had mine for over 20 years! The jacket can zip out to half sleeve and to vest. Once again, not cheap but the best at keeping you dry and WARM!

My 2 cents
I wear rain pants over shorts in the fall and winter so l can take them off as it warms up….
So rain pants are a big deal.
Gotta be easy on and off. So I care about how they fasten (you want a zipper). Stay away from drawstring pants. Also pay attention to how the foot section opens. Zippers are good. Snaps work. Velcro sucks. Gotta be easy to get over shoes.
And do they have pockets of their own or just slits. And do the pockets zip?

All that blah blah blah…
I second the zero restriction but they make models with and without the anal list above.
I also like footjoy hydralite a lot. Gore tex is always good…

And second the thought of spending $$$.
