SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. Texas A&M women's golf's 2026 signee Emerie Schartz won the prestigious 2025 Silver Belle Championship at Briarwood Country Club by four shots Tuesday.
The three-time U.S. Junior National Team Member shot 7-under 209 thru 54 holes. Schartz was even par after two rounds but fired a 7-under 65 on the final 18 to safely secure the victory, including four-straight birdies to end the tournament.
Schartz is a signee for the upcoming year and is the No. 29 overall junior golfer in the country and No. 10 in the 2026 class, according to the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The Wichita, Kansas, native has appeared in each of the last two U.S. Women's Amateurs and this past summer Schartz advanced to match play at the 76th U.S. Girls' Junior and went all the way to the quarterfinals of the tournament to take home a share of fifth. The incoming freshman is also the back-to-back Kansas Girls Junior Amateur Champion.
Texas A&M women's golf won four tournaments this season during the fall portion of the schedule. The Aggies are undefeated in stroke play and ranked No. 4 on the WGCA Coaches Poll. The Maroon & White return to the course Feb. 1-3 at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge [In California].
