Played SFGC today. Olympic tomorrow.

The locker room at SFGC was very cool. Everything is 100 years old or more in there.

Are those courses good?

I believe SFGC is still men only. And Olympic and Harding are right next to it.

I agree that the SFGC locker room is one of the coolest in golf. Love the architecture of the course as well. Olympic is a great test and has much more history etc due to all the US Opens held there.
Olympic feels like a busy golf factory and some of the holes (maybe 3 to 5 of them) are on land that is too sloped for a great golf hole.
So I think most golfers would like SFGC over Olympic if we are comparing. Both are great though.

The best course in SF might be The Cal Club however. That is pure golf and a great hang after the round.

Playing the Lake course at 12:50 today. Hoping to break 90! The slope looks like it will make a tough day for me! Haha!

Condi is a member I was told but she doesn't play there. She plays at Stanford I was told.

She is also a member at Cypress and Augusta and Shoal Creek. She has been the "barrier breaker" for a lot of golf clubs.

Rained hard on us from hole 6-10 today. Soaking wet.

That said, I felt the Olympic club was my overall choice of the two when considering every element from course architecture, caddies, clubhouse, playability and stuffiness.

SFGC wins the historical battle and the fact that it feels like I may have been one of 20 groups to play that day versus Olympic may have 400 rounds. Olympic felt more like a pebble beach in that sense. But overall really liked the pro shop and the caddy. 18 is a beautiful hole. Shot 84 today.

Push comes to shove, I'd go back to SFGC if invited but if given the choice would play Olympic again.

I'm not familiar with SFGC, and barely familiar with the Olympic club outside of US Opens, but dang I'm envious of your trip! I'd love to play Olympic!
