If A&M wanted a nice campus golf course, they would have one. They don't, so they don't.

I took turf management back in the day and asked why they don't work on the course. It was some law about free labor from the students. The professor said he really wanted to but the course and the school wouldn't allow it. It could be the best conditions in the state if they would have let that guy run things.

Doubtful.

The problem usually isn't capabilities, but budget.

I've dealt with A&M on some business deals. The problem is simple minded bureaucrats wanting to cover their ass and have no responsibility for change to the status quo. Same issue as not having another concert at Kyle this summer. This ( and another concert ) is not a can't issue, it's a won't issue. A blind man can't see. These issues can be addressed.
