If you were Geoff Yang (ANGC chairman of the competition committee), what would be your recommendation to the Chairman Fred Ridley regarding Sergio's boorish behavior and lack of public apology ?

I would ban him from the Masters for a year and then reinstate him after that if he had no further outbursts in the next year. I would also make him issue a public apology to the patrons and TV viewers.

Bad golf shots can bring out the worst in people but his actions crossed the line (by a few miles) IMO - especially at The Masters.

What would your punishment be if any ?

That said, a public reprimand and a "that's strike one" will probably suffice

Whatever is said, ANGC is unlikely to make it public. My guess is he gets a "you are still welcome here, but if this continues, we will have to unwelcome you for a spell" behind the scenes

They should make him tee off by himself next year immediately after the ceremonial tee shots are hit. And have a guy follow him around and yell "Give me back my son!" after every tee shot.

Give him a break... I do the same thing all the time, then proceed to make a par on the hole.
