I have been given a window of opportunity to go preview this new course.
I can reserve a 4some for the following dates: May 6th, 7th, or 8th. Cost is $150 per person plus a $50 caddie fee

If you're interested in playing a Baden Dunes affiliated course, please contact me. Tee times are going fast!

Play 1-10, 12 then come back and play 1-8 again so not every hole has grown in completely.

I went a few months ago when it was just holes 1-8. It was an excellent time.

The caddies were great, the layout was outstanding, and all of the staff were very hospitable.

Can't do these dates, but I'd really like to get back up there at some point to see the other holes.

Enjoy it.

Playing this Thursday at 10am with a few buddies. Here's the latest info they just kicked around for those wondering. Looks like we're playing 1-10, plus 17 & 18, then looping the first eight holes again. When I talked to them the other week, Doak is re-working a few details on holes 11-16...those should open up soon.

went this weekend. very long drive from Austin, but worth it once you get there. The course is really impressive and will obviously be even better once it's all grown in and open. The head pro did tell us his favorite holes on the course are unfortunately the 12-16 holes we weren't able to play on this trip. But if that's the case, that's a great sign because the holes we did play were very impressive. Course feels very big but also surrounded by tall pine everywhere. It's one of the coolest courses I've ever played in Texas, and as someone who is way less familiar with the piney woods of eastern Texas, it doesn't feel like you are in Texas at all. The drive is brutal from Austin, so flying private will be the way to go from places like Austin and further away. Not sure Id make that drive again until they have the planned 3-4 courses in the next couple years open and onsite facilities built out. Bug coming from Dallas and Houston is much more reasonable drive. Pro said we were the first from Austin he was aware of pn property, so that was kinda cool.

Are the greens receptive or do they roll out once it hits the green?

Oh yeh glad you asked, we experienced one of the craziest things i've ever seen on a golf green. They are so firm on some of the greens that when you thump it with a club you get a hollow sound similar to tapping on a large pipe, or dropping a large pic pipe, almost like the green is built on top of an empty plastic water tank. It was crazy. They do not really hold all that well at the moment, but in some instances we did get some grab and bite, so it's not crazy, but the sound is definitely bizarre.

Playing tomorrow morning and Sunday morning on Mother's Day so I will give a detailed course review next week on the preview holes. I will ask if we can go take pictures of the other holes?

I know it's Mother's Day Sunday, but for any single golfer out there or if you want to bring your wife with ya, or if a mother wants to come play? I had one drop out on Sunday May 10th if anyone wants to join?

Filled it.

If you want to go preview just give them a call, it's nice & the next course looks to be a challenge!
