Every year we go to Disneyland for her birthday, deal is if she gets an ace or full swing hole out she gets to choose a friend or 2 to take with us. So she thought she had it.

surprised she didn't say "frick" I guess that's 6/7 lingo for the F word in preteens. We're trying to break her of it but she still deals it out on occasions!

she is still playing but no tournaments for this spring season. She was playing club volleyball to mix it up. She will start back with tournaments here in a few weeks, and yes, up an age division now.

In regards to not seeing some of the normal crew. Keep in mind, girls higher up the points list didn't even get an invite. Especially since they only had 10 play for whatever reason instead of follow their normal process of extending further invites if kids decline to play the championship.

Downside of playing in Houston or Dallas for the Texas regions.

Looked like normal criteria to me. When I asked why the lower turnout I was told that the usual amount of invites were sent but that the rain may have been a factor to some. It's seemed all the age groups were down to me.

My oldest was the girl from Houston that tied your daughter for first the one weekend we played in College Station this Spring. She never got an invite to the championship. Unless I understand it incorrectly, per what you posted there should have been 9 more spots available since only 10 played.

She finished top 12 in Houston, top 16 overall (our fault for not signing her up for more tournaments early enough this spring). I don't see how they could have followed the normal process and sent a second round of invites when at least 4 of the Houston kids declined.

Is what it is. She qualified last winter for the championship, but had a nagging shoulder issue so we declined. We spent more time on waiting lists for tournaments this spring in March and April than playing.

Frustrating when the junior golf ratio is 2.1 boys to each girl, but tournaments have 20-30 boys and only a handful of girls with many of them on the waiting list to play. Especially when a girl drops out amd then they add another boy.

Yeah the wait list is also voodoo, we've had several we signed up for that were wait list, we didn't get in but they added a dozen boys after we were waitlisted
