Has anybody on here played that course?

We are gonna play it on Friday and I was wondering if anybody on here had any insight. I assume we're playing the 6640 tees not the 7114. Hopefully.

Played there a couple of times. Listen to the caddy when he recommends which tees to play from. They will set you up to have an enjoyable round. Course is great. Everything there is first class. Course is in great shape as of 4 weeks ago.

I'm too poor to play the East.

I've only played the West a couple of times and was an awesome track!

Played there last week. Whatever tees you play add 500 yards. Take extra time to putt. They are fast! Hopefully you will get a good caddie because it's makes all the difference. I've played the East five times and twice my caddie sucked, but the other times they were great. As the others said it's a fabulous course. Have fun out there!

Played there 12 days ago. Course in great shape. My buddy and I played the combo III/IV tees which were just about right for us. We're both 65+. It's a long walk. Caddie told us about 8 miles for the day. My health app clocked 18,600 steps for the golf part of the day.

Green speeds were very playable. Quick, but not ridiculously so. Driving areas are pretty generous I thought. The yardage we were playing did bring fairway bunkers into play. Just about every greenside bunker is well below green level, so you're hitting up and over lips.

Golf, dining, some shopping, and some fun on their giant putting green The Dance Floor. It was a good day for us.

Oh, when you get to the range they also ask which brand of balls you want to hit. That was a nice touch.

Kevin Lacy is a great caddie. Had him both times. Vibes were high and he is good at his job.

Play the III tees, the IV tees (including the combo) remove a lot of forced carries which change the course drastically. The course is tough, the deep rough is punishing.

The East was built to hold major championship golf tournaments.
Add in an average to below average natural site and you get a tough course that doesn't really distinguish itself in terms of natural beauty, golf architecture or fun.
I enjoyed playing it once but I doubt there will be many return visits.
The West is much more enjoyable and fun IMO.
Agree that the Omni and everything else they have going on there is worth a trip to see. It's a good hang.

I thought the East course was fine but don't understand the hype. Very plain in my personal opinion. Outside of a stretch on the back - nothing memorable about it.

That said - the Omni, short course, putting course and retail/dining setup was top notch.

This. Thought East was way overpriced. Loved the resort, though. Our non golfer wives had a great time.

We had a great time! Sub 4 hour round helped a lot, nobody was in front of our twosome.

Yeah its tough, not the prettiest track but it has a couple of unique holes on the back. Is it 13 that has the tiny green? Neat hole. 15 bunker complex is crazy, short par 4 straight uphill. And 18 is a good finishing hole.

It was in immaculate shape. Just perfect.

I got pretty hot on the end of the front 9 but took a little break and downed a bunch of fluids and then clouds came in and all was well.
