Bought new 10/22/21. Been flawless until yesterday. IF E error code. Cleaned out and defrosted overnight. Powered back on and within a few hours the error code is back.

Is this something I can fix myself? Links to vendors to buy parts or instruction videos would be great.

Appliance parts pros online, chat link online typically will be a retired tech. Have also allowed returns of parts if one their tech does not fix it.

Funny you say that. I have no patience and, immediately after step 1 of posting to TexAgs, I researched online and purchased parts from Appliance Parts Pros online. Paid more for shipping to expedite. I'll report back later this week.

The parts that came from the online vendor didn't fit and they can't get the part I need. Home Depot is running a sale so I just upgraded refrigerators. I bought a Frigidaire for $1000 off.

Now what to do with my LG….

Is it the fan that blows cold air from the freezer up to the ice maker in the door? I had one go out on our old LG, and never could find the part. It's now in our garage.

I repaired my fan in my freezer.

This was the video I used.. It was very similar if I recall correctly. I think the part was slightly different but it was easy enough for me to figure out and replace.

Yep watched that same video and the part I bought fit perfectly by the plug was different. Appliance part pros said the part I need is discontinued but another vendor said it's just hard to find. Not sure which is correct.
