Have this folding leaf table/sideboard that got water damage when a coffee maker leaked water into the seam.

Does this have to be a full resanding and refinishing, or are touch up pens any good in this situation? I don't want to keep it long term, so I'm balancing selling as-is versus cleaning up and trying to get more.
