Our AC unit's drain lines are tied into each of the 2 upstairs bathroom sinks, and the one that is giving us trouble is a dual vanity. I tried running a snake through it last night, but it just came out of the other sink's drain. I tried multiple times but can't get the snake to go down the main line.
I tried everything last night from plunging one sink (stopper down on the other) to try to unclog it, to sucking out everything via a shop vac, but to no avail. I'm thinking my only hope is to run a snake down from the exhaust vent out of the roof, which is easily accessible due to the sink being on an exterior wall. When I went out to look this morning, there's a clean out as well down near the foundation. Would it be better to open that and run the snake up into that or to do it from above?
