I want to wrap my flower bed in steel edging. To do so, let's say I do 4" of gravel, should I have that completely wrapped in steel edging even against the house? Or the skirt of the house would be fine? I've looked at dozens of houses with a similar landscape, and I don't recall edging being against the house.

Just did this…I did weed barrier and poured gravel next to foundation. Then composite between gravel and bed and then cor-ten steel outlining the flower beds. Not quite finished but looks pretty good

You don't need edging along house just to separate gravel from bed or lawn.

Where are y'all sourcing this… online or a local supplier?

Wanted to update on this topic, I ended up going with a local person that provided weathering steel (turns out Corten Steel is branded like Kleenex) and they were about 2x the cost of Edge Right with install. Much happier with this option since the final product is welded (so a much cleaner line than Edge Right that required connectors every 3 ft) and supported with rebar which should help with any deflection of the steel due to the weight of the gravel. For the bed right along the house, we went with planters that have steel along the house skirt as well.
