10 years ago replaced all duct work and installed new AC in the attic, Yesterday, the tech shows me pictures of mold in my ducts. Over $4,000 to replace all the existing duct work and install ultraviolet light. What do you think ?

Definitely get a second opinion. Some good HVAC techs out there, but a lot of upselling and *some* dishonesty in that business.

Horse crap. I'll bet my boots it's nothing more than dust buildup. The mold game is probably one of the biggest scams in the history of scams. I don't know how much money has been made off of telling people they have mold and instilling fear, but I bet it's a ton.

Even if it is mold, shouldn't the company that installed the system and ductwork be responsible?

I have been using this company since 1978. 2nd generation owner sold a few years ago to an individual. The tech did say the duct work was good so it is an air quality issue. I will get it checked out by a 3rd party.
