I had some large magnolia trees planted recently. Does this look deep enough? I guess the root bulb is a little exposed. I may be able to add some soil since it is in an enclosed planter.

I mean it is buried in the ground, but raised up slightly with a brick border built around it. Not in a pot or anything like that.

Better a hair too shallow than a hair too deep. I am not an arborist but I think I'd probably just let it do its thing. We had a big magnolia growing up and I do recall it having an exposed ball of sorts like yours. I'd wait for I fined responses but I don't see it as a big deal.
