Looking for some recommendations on chainsaws, either electric or gas. I have Ryobi batteries so would prefer to not have new chargers/batteries. I back up to mostly pines, that like to fall over, so it'll be for occasional use.

I have several echos and they are OK, but I also have at least 4 Stihl saws, and I am just a huge fan of them. They always seem to run. Two of them are from the 70's and were in my barn and hadn't been run in 30 years and when I filled them up they fired up and idled. That doesn't mean new ones will perform the same, but I am a huge Stihl fan for reliability.
I don't think a battery powered saw is going to bring you happiness if you need to saw up a full trunk of pine, but if you are MOSTLY cutting branches, then I might actually look that direction.
