I mentioned in another three I was pouring concrete for a basketball goal anchor ( 18"x18"x36") and it did not finish well at all. I just couldn't get enough "cream" so it's pretty gritty. Could've been user error but I've also been reading with a bag mix I should've added Portland cement. I have zero interest in tearing it out and I imagine structurally it's all fine. Given that, should I just let it cure and come skim coat it with a resurfacer/repair product?

Maybe an angle grinder, the right head to coarsely 'polish' it, goggles, ear protection, dust mask, gloves. Unless it is wildly uneven, then put a wood frame, level, around it and self-leveling concrete.

Maybe buy a couple bags of good topsoil, spread that over top of the concrete pad and let the grass grow.
