Exterior house always dirty

For some reason I have the dirtiest exterior house on the street. When I look up at my soffits, hardie siding, eaves they are covered in webs, dirt, and dead bugs. I've used the quick cleaner solution from the big box stores and it does fine but a few weeks later and I'm having to dust off all the new junk that accumulated since the last cleaning. I also have a bug sprayer come quarterly and keep up with my yard and landscaping on a regular basis.

I recently had my house repainted a year ago so I want to take good care of it but my house just always looks dirty. When I go to others houses in my neighborhood they don't look anything like mine.

Curious what everyone here does to keep the outside looking clean.

Perhaps the dirt shows more based on your house color?

We have 1 white home and 1 grey home. Only the white one shows the dirt.

Great point, I have a house that is painted white. I also have a lot of open space around my house. I live on 5 acres and don't have any big trees around my house. Maybe that plays a part

Go grey next time and the problem will be hidden. It is dirty, but does not show.

Even in the old days White paints offered various "cleaning" percentages of shedding both microbes of paint/dirt, then came the hi-tech raincoat surfaces "keep clean". Try some and see if a candidate for sooner or later fix. Can't disagree with "color choice matters".

Would love to find a wax solution that works, even if automotive.

Some would build new with masonry below to catch & wash dirt off, saving the clean siding above, so perhaps a wainscot of cultured stone/brick application.

Vinyl siding & stucco walls usually get some sort of regular cleaning with a low pressure sprayer, some chemicals better than others and less prone to making the next repaint job come sooner.

A redwood house owner uses a propane torch on pesky webs that does a long lasting job but this is an acquired skill to avoid torch burns ... or worse!

Landscaping has been the go-to solutions, such as perimeter stone beds or enough greenery to keep the friable mulch down/away, as well as dust from everywhere. Adequate watering to improve all greenery ... that avoids wetting the house (dust glues to condensate).

Finally, Hardie suggests you lightly clean their siding twice/year ... sigh ... even if a CYA FYI, not a great selling tool vs masonry .... is it !?!
Gotta draw since me got no grammar

Do you keep exterior lights on at night?

we do and it makes the bugs and webs worse in those areas.
