I have a 70 year old house that I believe to have been re-plumbed in 2007. One faucet open drastically drops the pressure everywhere. I am trying to rule out if the restriction is on the city side or between the meter and my house. What would be a normal pressure loss at the meter if I open a couple of faucets? ChatGPT says 5-10lbs. Or, do I need to go buy one of those faucet meters to compare to the meter port pressure to be definite? Thanks in advance.

Does your house have a pressure regulator at the meter. One house we bought had it set way to low, turned it up fix the problem of having pressure drop from running more than 2 faucets.

Thanks for the reply. Well, the city just came out here and flow direct from the main is 29 GPM with barely any pressure loss (60PSI). They had a screw in faucet gauge. Opening one faucet dropped me from 60PSI to 14PSI. Looks like it's on my side. I will definitely check for pressure regulator, but I doubt it since my house and city main were both 60PSI.
