In Houston and trying to decide when to do it. Should we wait another couple weeks?

Garden is perennial and a little less than a year old so we covered it during freeze (only some of the plants got damaged)

Forecast shows no chance of freezing next 10 days in Houston. That gets us to Feb 18. I'd say we are out of the woods though I probably just jinxed it

I generally wait h til March 15, but this year I'll probably roll the dice March 1 and put 6 tomatoes into. The other 45 will be waiting patiently in their flats.

As for cutting back, we cut back Feb 14.

You should be good to cut back. We might get a late freeze but I have seen plants trying to green up already.

I just planted tomatoes and bell peppers. Gonna get an early start on the season.
