Currently I have a cast iron claw foot bathtub in the bathroom and want to replace it with a standard walk-in shower like you see in new builds; made I think of cultured marble. Any recommendation on who could do this?

Charles Abbate & crew redid our Bath#2 to be handicap friendly as possible in record time for 2/3$$ the others "too busy" or wait time too long for wife's homecoming. Since his wife has great tastes, he was told to choose a) whatever takes the least time to install + b) whatever options his wife would choose after that prime filter. LOVE IT, Home Run!

If he's retired like my other top referral & miracle worker, then I see many TV ads that can-do this feature whose insider reputation + Google reviews would tap them head & shoulders over outsiders.

Correct me if wrong, I have not phoned them for details
Marble Craft ... forever did this
Centex Countertops Inc ... showers in ad
ACME Glass TV ad?
others on Google, even Mom & Pops that advertise less (never Yelp refs)

That said, it is Jacuzzi labs that spent the most research on what's best for them and acrylic was the clear winner, so another option to confuse.

Roll-in showers w/wheelchair width door - if any may cost too much but low ramps have been used in past.

We did almost the exact same thing last year. We removed an old claw-foot tub and replaced it with a modern walk-in shower. Honestly it made the bathroom feel way bigger and easier to maintain. My biggest recommendation would be finding a contractor who specifically does bathroom remodels regularly, not just general handyman work, because proper waterproofing and drainage are really important with walk-in setups.
