Just got back from Bob's. didn't get a chance the try the pulled pork as apparently it is usually only available on tuesday. Instead had a bacon cheeseburger with jalapenos. I'm going to revise my score from my previous visit I'll give the burger a 7.5 or 8 and the overall score a 7.5 or 8 as well. My last visit might have just been on an off day or maybe today was the exception but i had a very solid burger this morning.

Pretty damn impressive that there are 3 damn good burger joints with 5 miles, with another 3 or 4 other good places in between.

he didn't but that was probably because i was just finishing up when he left the kitchen. Very nice guy and both times i have gone he has come over to the table to speak with us. after the burger today i'll certainly work his place in to my lords/armadillos rotation more often. My favorite food is pulled pork which can be pretty spotty in this town. If it is any good i'll probably end up going there every tuesday.

ate a Green Chile burger at Ojos Locos today- it was pretty damn tasty

went by Bob's to get the pulled pork sandwich today and damn was it good. One of the best sandwiches i have had in a long while. Highly recommended. pork had good texture and flavor with a very slight kick. Normally i'm not a fan of coleslaw but even it wasn't bad. Sauce was ok as well, if you are into that type of thing. I'm sure i'll probably eat there for lunch every Tuesday for the foreseeable future.

on the south side a few blocks west of 35 on southcross is a small mexican restaurant called Mary's. They have great burgers and fries. Lot of people from Port San Antonio and Lackland go there.

What is Bob's?

Bob's Burgers off San Pedro at Hildebrand down the street from Rolando's. Good pulled pork sandwich on tuesdays, great sides, pretty decent burgers, nice owner and staff.

Luthers is on Main, off evergreen i believe. The food has been perfectly fine every time i have gone but it is way too pricey. for that reason i'll generally go to armadillo's right down the street instead.

If none of you have tried Big Lou's Burgers (right next door to Big Lou's Pizza) yet, you need to. It's the new office favorite.

Alpha and I may have to stop by there on Friday.

We've gone there 3 straight weeks. Might make it 4 on Friday.

Talked to Bob at Bob's Burger today. They ahve added brisket smoked turkey sandwiches to the menu, i'm guessing on Tuesdays along with the smoked pork. Might be wroth trying. Also, they are trying to open up a BBQ joint a few doors down from the burger location. I would really like to see that happen.

The sliced BBQ sandwich at Bob's was good. As for BBQ, it was kind of average, but it was good on a sandwich. Funny, I was in there yesterday too.

For some reason the onion rings were extra salty, though.

Tried Biff Buzzby's yesterday, the half-pound mushroom and cheese. Pretty good burger on a roll, beans were ok. Onion rings are awesome. Mushrooms were out of a can, although at least they were sauteed.

Not my favorite, but I would go there again no doubt.

Billy T's on Nacogdoches (formerly on Austin Hwy) will be closing permanently on Monday, February 27. just saw it on Facebook.

Had Cullum's Attaboy burger when I was down for the San Antonio Steer Show. Very juicy burger that is cooked medium with a great cheddar cheese slices. Be warn this is a messy burger but that what makes it so good. The Airstream is located at Broadway and West Sunset. Had some fries they call Hot Fries which are in their wing sauce. My buddy went for the sweet potato fires.

Snapped a picture of what has easily become my favorite sandwich in SA, The Pulled Pork from Big Bob's burger. If any of you are looking for a place to eat lunch on Tuesday's this is it.

Found this thread thanks to the new one up. I have to also say Big Bob's Burgers. Best burger I've had in this town, second best ever beaten only by the burger I had in Cambridge, Mass.

I also love a burger from Longhorn and it's closer to my house, so it tends to be my go to.

Pac-Moon Mongolian is excellent. FWIW their chili nachos are also fantastic.

Any updates to add to this thread? Just tried Fred's in Fort Worth. Good stuff!
