Howdy. Is Sea World open on weekends in October? My wife and I recently got some free tickets, in the form of e-tickets. The printed tickets state that they expire on 1/2/16, but the calendar on Sea World's website only goes through September. I'm curious if it closes at the end of September, or if their only calendar only goes out four months at a time.. I've found a few travel sites online that say it's open on weekends in October (through the end of December, actually) but I can't find anything from Sea World about that. I sent an email to the general contact email on their website, but am not expecting a response anytime soon. We figured it would be easier on our toddler if we go when it's cooler out, hence postponing the trip until October. Any help?

I had some time to kill so I called the 1800 number, put it on speaker, and waited 34 minutes. Even Sea World's reps don't know what their hours are during October. She said the October schedule should be available at the beginning of July. I've sent a message to a contact who does research there year-round and I'll let you know if I get any good info.

They are open in October. Don't recall if it is Fri-Sun or all week.

They stay open later closer to Halloween doing the Scarefest / Screamfest or whatever the name of it is leading up to Halloween.

Kind of a neat deal as they have kids dressed up in costume working to scare the guests. My kid worked there last year doing this.

Go during the day with a toddler.

My wife works there. She says they'll be open Friday-Sunday in October. It'll be mostly Halloween themed then, but they will operate as normal during the day and later on into the evening they will have more scary stuff going on. I've been a few times and it's pretty fun.

If you want to go during the week in October, you can book private tours/interactions on off days.

SeaWorld is great during October! HowlOScream on weekend nights and family fun during the day.

HowloScream is worth it if you are a big Halloween fan. They have tried to get more haunted house oriented (read less kid friendly), but it is a good time for older kids. Any hotel on 151 between 410 and 1604 is good. The Holiday Inn on 151 and Military is nice, and offers free shuttle service to Sea World.

December is actually nice too, they decorate for Christmas and have Christmas themed everything (our kids 5 & 2) really love going then.
