Hopefully! Bought a 1940s 3/2 1800 sq ft bungalow that has never been touched.

Projects started - my hobby has become an obsession.

Southtown:

Bluestar Brewery was a neat little stop. Great beer - tried them all and like them all, and pretty decent food.

Friendly Spot is awesome. I plan on going down there more often once the weather cools off with the pup.

I haven't found a great casual bar/pub up in Stone Oak yet with a good beer selection since World of Beer closed.

George's Keep at Eilan

Go on a Saturday about 9ish. Grab a drink and sit on the patio. Watch the golddiggers at work. Sitting outside almost has a European feel to it, but when the crusty old geezers dressed in white from shoes to hat (no lie) start walking up with the Asian arm candy with giant bolt-ons, you'll swear you're in Vegas or Miami.

My friend's wife went inside to go to the restroom. On her way out, she passed by two of the high dollar hoochies we'd seen being awful friendly to folks on the patio. She passed by just in time to hear, "Well he said he's worth at least a mil, so he'll do."

Wurzbach ice house was real laid back.

Used to work at the Colonnade Center building, and we nicknamed Wurzbach Ice House "Conference Room B". Mid-afternoon on random days we'd start organizing safety meetings and team meetings in Conference Room B. When it first opened, there'd be five of us from work, two random strangers, and the bartender. After a few months, it got busier and busier and really blew up. After a long gap, we'd gone out there about 18 months ago on a Friday evening (6ish, 7ish) to find they had added not only outside uniformed security, but armed security. It was packed to the gills and everything took forever. Went again last night for the first time in at least a year, and at 6:30 it was already full. After waiting at the bar for 20 minutes, we gave up and went to Brewingz.

I'm right at 10 and Callaghan so the NW side.
I forgot you're on the NW side. Just moved into the apartments next to that shell station over there. Still haven't forgotten I owe you a gentlemanly drink!

I've only been there for Aggie Happy Hours and it is always hard to find parking. I guess it is crowded from all the NSA employees from next door at the "Southwest Learning Center" walking over there.
