Going to take the family (consisting of two 10 year olds and wife) up for an extended weekend. We are planning to hit Six Flags one day. Can anyone tell me of the Mariott Hill Country, Hyatt Hill country and the Cantera, which one would be best? It appears they all have nice pools, which is what we are looking for to entertain the kids a couple of afternoons. I think I saw where the Hyatt has the evening outdoor movie, but not sure about the other two.

Appreciate any recommendations.

I stayed at the Hyatt. Very nice. Lazy river, free bikes and outdoor activities. They have the surf board thingy but bit cost money. Food sucks but you're close to anything you could want.

Never been to the j.w. but I'm told it is nicer than the Hyatt. I don't know what types of things they have for kids

Don't worry about resort food. If you stay at Hyatt or La Cantera, there are a ton of good food options minutes from both, including Rudy's.

All three are nice. Hyatt Hill Country is next to Sea World, La Cantera is next to Fiesta Texas (Six Flags), and the JWM is off by itself.

I went to the Hyatt right after it opened when I was about 13 or 14. Great lazy river then. I assume it's bigger now. As a kid I enjoyed it

Jw marriott is the bomb, you won't consider leaving the grounds... great service, great food (get the wagu beef at 18 oaks, worth every penny) i've stayed at every resort in town, no competition

JW Marriott and Hyatt Hill Country are both off the charts nice, but I think JW is the nicer of the two. Nicer pool and water stuff. They are both close to many restaurant options if you want to leave.
