Looking for a new mechanic after this debacle

Anybody have one? Live in Timberwood park so something that far north would be awesome too.

Are you looking for a dealership with a great service department, or an independent mechanic? If independent try one of the Belden's locations (281 N or Bulverde and Evans Road).

My father has Haby's automotive outside of Helotes. It's not that close to you, but he has people bring him work from Bulverde. Even New Mexico, which is crazy, but some folks value his skill and trust is valuable too.

Changing rotors every time you change brakes would only be necessary if you wait entirely too long to change your brakes every time and you're grinding metal on metal into your rotors. Pretty positive there's no way for the guy to know the condition of your rotors without having your wheels off.

Anyway - it was good to see multiple shoutouts for my dad in that thread.

I've had two great experiences taking our 4Runner to Haby's. We will keep going back.

I took my truck out to Mr. Haby about a month ago. Quick and easy. Price was right. He even let me hang around and ask questions.

Habys has a petting zoo in the waiting room!

I also live in Timberwood and we have been happy with Cornerstone Automotive on Blanco close to Bitters.

I trust the guys at Thousand Oaks Automotive. Have always taken good care of me. There have been times I thought something major was wrong and they even gave advise on how I could repair it and not them. Located on Thousand Oaks near Brook Hollow.
