My wife and I just moved from Fort Worth and are looking for a new church home.
We are late 20's with no kids yet and live close to the Pearl area.
We went to The Village when we lived in DFW so looking for something similar.

My wife and I really enjoy Shearer Hills Baptist Church right off of 281 near Sam's. They started a young couples (I'm 30 and wife is 29) Sunday school class a little over a year ago. Might be a little further North than you are looking to travel, but come join us one Sunday if you are interested in checking it out.

Look into Oak Hills Church. Crown Ridge is the main campus with satellite's around town.

Max Lucado and Randy Frazee are the senior pastor's and are different but similar to Matt Chandler.

My parents took my siblings and I to that church when I was growing up. It's been great to reconnect with him when I moved back here and see he hasn't changed a bit (hasn't aged either.....how does he do it? lol).

God has him doing powerful work over there.

I second this. We used to attend The Park, and we just werent getting anything out of it. Joining Wayside as been great for us. The 11am service at wayside is the younger crowd, lots of young married couples your age, including myself.

Try it out. You never know until you sit through a service.

I don't know how it compares to where you have previously attended but I've heard great things about Redeemer Presbyterian downtown.

If you haven't found a church home yet, come a few blocks downtown to First Baptist Church. Our Logos service at 11:00 is close to what I have understood about the Village. We also have several young married classes during our Bible Study hour.

If you come this Sunday - I'll be giving the welcome.

The village is a great church. I have not found anything similar but there are some good ones. Oak Hills, Nineteen 10, Wayside are all ones that come to mind.

I go to Cornerstone in the Stone Oak area, truly feel the presence of the Lord each time I visit.
All my hope is in Jesus, thank God my yesterday's gone.

Spent 13 years of my life at FBCSA. I also met and married my wife there. Wonderful, meaningful place and people. It will always be my church home.
