My daughter and I hunted near Pita on Sunday afternoon. We shot our two redheads apiece then started packing up well before sunset.
In the past I've taken a few other birds in the ULM including a pintail, scaup, a can, black bellied whistlers and mergansers. Missed a buffleheads once. Never taken a wigeon, teal or gadwall in the ULM. But lots and lots of redheads. Mostly redheads. Did I say there are a ton of redheads?
It's common too see a lot of ducks that aren't redheads on Laguna Shores Rd. between the causeway and Carribean. They like to loaf tight to the bank because they know they're safe there.
