What in the actual F?

I got stuck around Flatonia yesterday for a good 30 minutes (2:30 PMish). Can't imagine the nightmare it will be this afternoon if they're still doing construction on the same bridge.

Past it westbound around 230. Burned up dumpster truck and police and wrecker taking their sweet time

I turned around on the feeder before I hit 10, went S on 1604 and then took Schuwirth/Graytown/Abbott/2538 back to 10. Nice country drive and saved a ton of time, I'm sure.

Txdot will be starting a construction project on IH 10 between Foster and Graytown in a few months. Get ready for the suck.

If it's not widening I-10 to 3 lanes all the way to at least Luling and putting in new flyover on-ramps to eastbound I-10 at 1604 and hwy 46, then it is a waste of money. Hopefully with the addition of the feeder roads in Seguin the 46 issue will improve, but they will still have to get over the SP rail tracks somehow if they want to move the on ramp.

Since SH 130 overlays IH 10 in that area, there will be widening. It will be in phases, however. Not sure when the sections in Guadalupe County are scheduled.

Frontage roads will be converted to one way too.

I was in a meeting where this issue was being discussed with TXDOT. Since 130 is a toll road I asked if any of this IH 10 widening would include managed (tolled) lanes. I got some dirty looks and was told not to ask that question.

Well, at least it is an interstate highway, so they can't move the free lanes to the feeder roads and put a 55 mph speed limit on them. (Like 183 between Lockhart and Mustang Ridge)

About to start the mapping phase for I-10 from 1604 to SH 130. It was flown and now will be aerial mapped and surveyed.

It won't be 10 years before they even start.
