I have a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath (approx. 1900 sq. feet) two-story house near Hausman & 1604 in the Hunters Chase subdivision that I'm seeking one roommate. I am a PhD student at UTSA and am in San Antonio only a couple of days during the week and rarely on the weekends. Therefore, you pretty much get run-of-the-house during the week and most definitely on the weekends.

For the past (almost) three years, a fellow SA TexAgger has been a roommate and it's gone really well. I'll let him decide if he wants to post here and reveal himself. You don't have to be an Ag...as long as your rent check clears, then we're good to go!

If you're a mature (I know, that's reaching coming to TexAgs looking for mature people), financially responsible, semi-clean and don't mind a roommate that is rarely at the house, then feel free to email for more information. I would also consider a married/committed couple.

You would get one bedroom and one bathroom for your EXCLUSIVE use. We'd share common areas such as the kitchen, living room, dining area, laundry (yes, there's a washer and drier for your use) and garage. For the third bedroom, we'd use this space for guests as I do not intend on renting this room out.

All of the above in the OP is true. Rooming with Mike has been a great arrangement for me, 'cause it's been extremely low maintenance. When I moved in I wasn't looking for any additional responsibility, but I was over apartment life too.

Most often it seems like I've rented an entire house for myself at less than half the price. Of course, I don't go into the master bedroom (unless he asks me to look something up while he's out of town) and he respects my privacy too (has he even been in my room the past 2+ years? I don't recall), but outside his room and his bathroom the rest of the house feels like it may as well be mine. We split the bills half and half. I don't know that there's a better deal in town.

When Mike is in town, which is pretty rare, his wife would be happy to know that he's almost always busy working on his own schooling. We've gotten to know each other pretty well since I've lived here 2+ years now, but if you're busy he lets you keep cranking on your work. If you're just hanging out, and he's also taking a break, it's nice to have a fellow Ag in the house to talk about the latest sports/school happenings.

The house is off of Hausman really close to 1604, so it's nice to be able to head north or south quickly. I sometimes take Hausman to I-10 if I need to get to 410 or downtown. It's pretty convenient.

If you like going for runs or biking, the Leon Creek Greenbelt is convenient to the house too, so it's nice to not have to load up your bike and leave your car at a trailhead. I'll probably miss that part of living here.

If I wasn't getting married I would not be moving. I've been month to month for a long time now, so it's not like I need someone to take over my lease. Mike is a good dude and I think whoever takes my room is walking into a prime situation.
