Looking for great atmosphere for dinner and drinks for a birthday with friends. The event will happen next week on May 14. There's about 7-10 who are going and age group is from 25-30 years old. Also, looking at reasonable prices for everyone if possible.

La cantera has some decent affordable restaurants, maybe try Whiskey Cake, if not head down to Pearl Brewery or southtown for barbecue

No particular kind of food. That was the original area I was looking at the pearl, la cantera, and Southtown. Just narrowing down what restaurants in that area. I'm open to all areas in the city.

Whiskey Cake is pretty casual, Cured at the Pearl is a little more upscale, there is also La Gloria at the pearl if you want mexican, I know southtown has mexican like Rosarios, there is a restaurant around there called FEAST which is more upscale but still casual

Yardhouse at La Cantera might be fun for you. I also like Whiskey Cake and BJ's Brewhouse or Stonewerks at the Rim.

Feast is good, food-wise and atmosphere.

The critics like Rebel as well. Haven't been there yet, though.

7-10 is perfect for a Japanese Steakhouse/Hibachi. Sumo is the old Benihana at I10 and Callaghan and I know there are a few others but the names escape me. My wife and I go to Bonzai in New Braunfels all the time!
