Will be staying at La Mansion for our anniversary. What nice restaurants would you recommend that accepts casual clothing? Prefer walking distance from hotel

The good down there isn't usually that great. Good atmosphere though so just have fun. Most places accept casual clothing.

Boudros is my favorite restaurant on the riverwalk. Bohanans on Houston Street is a very good (and pricey) meal.

I know you said you would prefer walking distance, but the Pearl is just a quick Uber ride away. There are multiple good options over there. Go get a drink at the Hotel Emma bar.

On the river but not in the middle of all the bad stuff, Luke is a good option. I don't think there is much of anything I would recommend in the middle of everything.

Along the SA River a Walk most all of the restaurants accept casual dress. Happy anniversary to you both and have a great time!

It's been a couple of years, but it was our go-to for downtown eating for a while. Pretty reasonable prices and the menu wasn't really standard TexMex. More "hip twist on TexMex" if that makes any sense.

It's owned by the same people that run Rosario's if I remember correctly.

There's a Whataburger on East Commerce Street. Not on the river, but you can probably smell it from there.

Have eaten at Casa Rio since I was a child, love it for lunch and evening. Boudros is really good for an evening meal, but most of the restaurants along the river walk are comparable. I really like Landry's for seafood, not sure how close it will be to you.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Had a very good meal at Little Rhine. Now at Fossel Rim and staying at their lodge. Really nice place. Have private tour tomorrow of the park.
