A non-profit org, The Periwinkle Foundation, is searching for an Astronaut who will come to Burton, Camp For All, to speak to a group of children (cancer patients and their siblings) on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The director of Kennedy Space Center, Robert Cabana, has a connection to A&M. Although he is not an Aggie, his son is. Chris Cabana was class of '97 in the corps. You might try going that route.

Is the non-profit willing to cover travel costs? Bill splits time b/t FL and Mass I believe.

Thanks! I have gotten several good leads and suggestions. I am waiting to hear back from the appearance office, but still searching for a personal connection in the meantime! Two local guys have said they would, but they are scheduled elsewhere! Not giving up until the last minute!!

Sadly, we have no budget for this event, which is one of the reasons I am trying to find some local!
