I compared endorsements. Castell has three, starting with one from NBPD. That is great, but he was the mayor. What else would you expect? He also has one from a realtor association. There is a long list of politicians, both current and former. I realize he is his own man, but his mother was one of the most liberal state reps when she was in office, even though ran as an R.
Issac has 16. A few were trade organizations, but most were values related. This included Pro-life, gun rights, 2A, family values, etc. She also had a list of supporters, which also included politicians, but also military and various citizens. She was endorsed by the outgoing state rep Kyle Biedermann who was a real conservative (rated 90 by Texas Values) as well as Nathan Macias, a previous state rep for the district. Nathan was rated 98% by a conservative organization, an Aggie, and retired AF Lt.Col.
One of my frustrations is that all Republican politicians could use the same mailer, just Velcro their name on the mailer. They all CLAIM to be conservative, Pro 2A, Pro Life, secure the border....
