Wife is just now finding out from preliminary blood work that she likely has some sort of autoimmune disease, but our small local clinic is almost out of their depth and the next step is a specialist.

Any recommendations are much appreciated.

Needs to see a rheumatologist. I like Allen and Kempf in stone oak.

I'd recommend looking into alternative therapy with Dr. Maegan Stanga. We're a few months into homeopathic treatment for my 15yo son and seeing slow, consistently positive results.

He was diagnosed with epilepsy in 5th grade, but as we now know had suffered from "something" years prior.

It turns out he has off-the-chart staph, strep, Lyme and other coinfections causing autoimmune encephalitis. This condition triggered seizures with unknown origin, major depression and social anxiety, anger and big trouble with academics (after having been a great student). For years.

Traditional medicine did a good job at what it does: prescribing something from Big Pharma to treat his epilepsy. But it did ZERO over the following 5 years figuring out the root cause. (The list of doctors we've engaged is very, very long, and runs the gamut of specialists, heads of pediatric neurology, litany of psychologists and psychiatrists, researchers, CEO of a large metro children's hospital, NIH and Mayo). We've lived in a terrible home environment since 2017, and my other two children will probably never be made psychologically whole.

I say all of this because in our experience traditional medicine did very little beyond prescribe some pills (some of which caused manic episodes) to treat all of the symptoms, and tell us good luck treating the psychological problems.

From my research, RA can have many of the same root causes we've found in my son, and Dr. Stanga could potentially provide you relief (and answers) you may not get from other doctors.

Good luck!

Dr. Holahan at the START center has saved mine and a few of my family members' lives. He specializes in all types of autoimmune problems.

We apparently have a very rare blood clotting disorder that is not supposed to be linked genetically, but is in our family.

He also worked with a great uncle that had leukemia.

Great no-nonsense kind of doc.

Best of luck to you.
