Still a few years away, but exploring options outside of public school in Northside. Intrigued at what's advertised as a classical education at Great Hearts. Can anyone share their experience with Great Hearts? Thanks!

My cousin is on the faculty at a Great Hearts campus in DFW. Been doing it for probably about 20 years. He always speaks highly of it and the students they get.

I know multiple people with kids enrolled. All are very happy.

Only problem is my buddy occasionally texts me some of his 5th graders math word problems. They get pretty tough!

My kids did Great Hearts Monte Vista. It's rigorous for sure, but was very impressed with it.

I have a friend who has 3 kids at Great Hearts and they love it. My twins went to Basis for 2 years and hated it while they were there because of how tough it is. We moved to east texas and they are knocking it out of the park in public school. They readily admit how we'll Basis set them up for success.

Both of mine are there and nephews as well. Highly recommend. It's tough for sure, but from what I've seen so far they are well ahead of their peers, especially in math/reading.
