Looking for a great fishing guide for my son, grandson and I for Lake Calaveras. Wanting to catch limits of catfish and other fish mixed into the trip. Hoping to find that guide I can be a repeat customer with. Not wanting to boat ride or hear you should have been here yesterday excuses.

He primarily fishes for reds but does cats at well.

Do a lot of people eat the fish they catch out of these lakes? We want to take the kids fishing there but have always been told not to eat them.

I used him once for my dad's birthday.

We caught a ton of fish but none were keepers.

He also made some racist comments about an Indian man that ran a store near the lake that rubbed us all the wrong way.

Back in the day when I fished there all the time yes, we ate them.

Sorry for the pointed question, but why wouldn't one eat them?

With the warmer water in the lake, they cook up faster.

Growing up in SA my husband fished a ton and just said everyone always talked about how you don't eat the power plant fish so he didn't. I mean hell we aren't opposed to it hence asking the question.
