Dont want to get left behind again this year, whose got the best tamales I should pre-order for Christmas pickup?

Probably not as well known as other suggestions on here, but we order tamales from Sonia's off of Nacodoches for customers. Everyone loves them.

I also take customers their breakfast tacos quite often.

Dalia's in Pharr.

Delia's is a touch Pharr from my place. We enjoy Chilito's in Boerne. I know there are some good places in SA folks will speak to, but I try to avoid going inside the outer loop.

Is there any in the stone oak area? I know there is a delicious tamales off Heubner or somewhere but I don't know if they are really that good.

I hate going inside 1604. They really should build a wall there.

I've gotten them there before and right before the holidays, just showed up early in the morning. Also have done Delia's and Tellez and both of those alternatives were acceptable, but I'm not a huge tamale snob. Now that I have a half breed son in law, I get some amazing homemade ones so this is no longer a concern.

chicken/Cheese/jalepeno tamales are my secret weakness. So is barbacoa tacos. And also cheese enchiladas. Ok, let's just say any mexican food is my favorite.

Delia's is on 1604 (Near Hausman.) Yes, technically the building is inside 1604, but it's only on the feeder road.

Absolutely! I have to be in SA the first week of Aug (outside of 1604)... I will be making a run to Delia's.
