Wow, even Nirenberg is saying to vote no. It must be bad.

But don't bother looking for it on the SAEN home page. It's not there.

It made the Rivard Report, but quickly falling down the page.

KSAT 12 had Nirenberg on their Q&A and was pretty adamant about voting No. Glad he did but surprised KSAT aired it.

We were watching the Texas nature show last nite on KLRN and when they did the break update, they dropped in the Nuremburg note. War Department was stunned that he said to vote no. I did a double take as well. Must mean the Castro Communists are all for it.

Ron was probably told by his master that this prop is a really bad idea

I thought Nirenberg and Castros were on the same team?

Nirenberg is on that team when it is convenient for him. Nirenberg has walked a fine line with the business community. Even though he is almost a shoe-in for his final term as mayor, I don't hink he wants to die on this hill.

Ananda Tomas and he band of commi...progressives got pretty aggressive with this ballot initiative and put a lot of controversial things in with a couple of things that could have had widespread support. As people start learning more about this they are finding out the overall package looks pretty sketchy. Assuming this thing passes, hopefully the state can shut it down.

We have a couple at our neighborhood entrance and I'm going to get a yard sign. I want anyone passing by to know my stance on this.

Personally, I am for it. Since I don't live in SA, my property values should increase as people flee the People's Republic of San Antonio.

The sales pitch on Prop A is a bait and switch.

If it was JUST reducing the threshold for Marijuana arrests/ticketing, then I'd be all for it and I think most people would be too.

That is not what Prop A is at all.

Here's the meat of why I'm against Prop A:

"The proposed change removes the police officer's authority to arrest for the following criminal offenses:

  • All Class C misdemeanors,
  • Possession of controlled substance less than 4 oz synthetic cannabinoids,
  • Driving while license invalid,
  • Theft of property less than $750,
  • Theft of service less than $750,
  • Contraband in a correctional facility,
  • Graffiti with damage less than $2500, and
  • Criminal mischief with damage less than $750."

I don't agree with any of what is proposed in this "Justice Policy". I really don't like that it is a bunch of disparate stuff in one proposition. People will vote based on one item like abortion or catch and release and not understand any of the rest of what is in this bundle of crap.

Where to get Vote No yard signs?

The "grass roots organization" pushing this somehow got ~80,000 petition signatures to get in on a referendum. I am sure those were all legit signatures. /Rolls eyes

This is my stance as well. I have several customers who own convenience stores and they are really worried what will happen to their business if this Prop is passed.

Early voting results were 74% against. Hopefully they don't find a bunch of stray ballot boxes to flip it.
