E-1, E-2, Sq-17. If you're son is not interested in a contract. If he is interested in pursuing a scholly tell him to join C-2, K-2 or H-1. Do not let your son join N-1 unless you want them to never pick up someone of the opposite sex

My understanding with removing the prior system of just assigning outfits was that cadets stopped caring about recruiting in the 90's somewhere.

Are there any numbers about how many cadets are recruited and whether they finish their four years?
I find it hard to fathom someone with no previous exposure to the Corps joining up and being successful based on a phone call or summer seminar meeting.

Don't really understand all the N-1 bashing going on around here. I was actually talking with one of the bulls just a few weeks ago and he was saying how many problems multiple outfits are having (including some of the ones mentioned above), with the exception of a few. And he specifically noted that N-1 was doing really well, along with one other unit.

I find it hard to believe that at least one rising senior from the outfit isn't qualified to be CO. Sounds like Ramirez is trying to screw E-2 after they got in trouble this last year. I have a feeling it won't go so well having a CO from another outfit. E-2 and N-1 are completely different types of outfits.

quote:Wouldn't be the first time. Probably won't be the last either. Sometimes it just happens that way. Back in my era, we did have outfits struggle to find a single member with a 2.3 Cumulative GPR.

quote:Great story yawny06. I didn't know anybody in the Corps and didn't know anything about any of the outfits. So I had no idea what it meant when MAJ Brewer put me in B-Company.
