How long do you want to ignore this user?

My girlfriend of 2.5 years is a nurse in the air force. I am/was planning on making her my fiance sometime this fall. Her first 4 years in the air force will be done Sept. 2014. She is/was going to let the air force know of her intentions of getting out this coming December. That is the earliest she can do so.

We have/had plans to get engaged sometime this year and get married next year. Anyways, she was told this morning that they need outpatient nurses in the following AFB's:

Japan- yokota and kadena
Guam
Turkey- Incirlik
Alaska- Elmendorf and Eielson
Korea- Osan

She is supposed to let her colonel know of where she wants to go by this Monday. She wants to get out, but she is afraid this will be way too early to tell them her intentions of getting out. So basically she will probably HAVE TO go to one of these places. She told me that the only way I can go with her is if we are married before she leaves.

Main question in all of this is.... Which of those bases/places suck and which dont. Thanks guys.

Japan is awesome, Yokota is right outside of Tokyo and near to Mt. Fuji. Been there a few times and it was cool, not sure about living there though. Must visit Santa Sushi right off base for the Super fatty tuna (Toro)
Kadena is nice, it's near the coast and there are beaches, big base, with lots to do. From what I hear the locals aren't always the military's biggest fans.
Guam is trashy, it's where the lolpoors from Japan go when they can't afford Hawaii. Not to mention island fever.
Turkey is awesome, I loved the month or so I spent there but then again with the unrest in the middle east I would give this some serious thought before I committed. Custom made suits from Mama Gengis ($300) are a must, as well as the cheesy bread from Mushdats.
Elmendorf- Lived there three years, and loved it, became an Alaska resident. Winters can get depressing (less so than at Eielson, see below) but summers are EPIC! Switch your residency immediately upon arriving so you qualify for PFD (~1000 per person free money for being a resident!) and discounts on hunting/fishing.
Eielson, small base in the middle of nowhere alaska, much colder (consistently -30 deg F). No sunlight in wintertime, there is literally nothing for you at this base.
Korea- never been there, one of my big regrets about being in PACAF, so I can't really comment.

Hope that helps!
